Today I decided to make a different sized card than I usually make. Usually with the Creative Cafe' kits, I stick to the A2 size cards but today I went for something a bit bigger. This card will fit into a regular business sized envelope. It measures 4x9".
Here is my card......
To begin, I cut the purple cardstock to 8 x 9", scored it at 4" and folded it in half. Then I cut a piece of the black dotted swiss cardstock to 3 3/4 x 8 3/4". Because the papers are only 6x6, I had to pick two patterns that complimented each other. I cut the plaid patterned paper to 3 1/2 x6" and the green patterned paper 31/2 x 3 1/2". I glued the plaid paper down first and then overlapped the green paper just a bit. I tied the ribbon around where the two papers join. I stamped the feet onto squares of 1 3/4 x 1 3/4" white cardstock from the kit. After I colored them with my copic markers, I adhered them to scalloped squares that I die cut from the black cardstock. I adhered the squares to my card using 3d foam squares. After I attached the layers to the purple cardstock base, I added some rhinestones to the 4 corners of my card. I think it turned out great!
Thanks for stopping by today!
