Witching You a Happy Halloween Card

Hi Everyone! It's Kathy today with my first post as September Guest Designer!  I was so excited to be asked to play along with this month's Monster Bash Kit... it's right up my alley!  I created a fun card using the Paper Pad and Trims from the kit along with some of the Spooky Feet Stamp Set...take a peek...

I started by stamping and heat embossing the witch's boots from the Spooky Feet Stamp  Set.  After coloring them, I cut them out using the embossed lines as my guide.

The skirt was really easy to create.  First, I cut a 4" circle using my Sizzix Big Shot and a thin die.

I decided how wide I wanted my skirt bottom to be, flipped the circle over and drew a line.

I drew two lines to form the sides of the skirt and cut off the x'd pieces.

To apply the Doodlebug Trim, I first ran my tape runner along the edge of the "skirt", then applied the first ribbon, trimming the extra.

I repeated this process for the purple and orange trims.

Once the skirt was complete, I assembled my whole card, adding some machine stitching and the sentiment stamp. After I stitched the top of the skirt, I trimmed off the top of the cone.

The finished card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", and the purple striped paper was cut to 3 3/8" x 4 5/8".  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to look!
