This months Creative Cafe' kit offers lots of ideas to help you prep and get ready for the holiday season. Think of all the cards you can complete before October is even over!
Creative Christmas offers a stamp set that is very versatile along with an add-on stamp set that coordinates perfectly. This month, we are offering you an additional set for members only.
For my first card, I used only the main stamp set, Home for the Holidays.
I started with a brown base. 5x10 folded in half to create a 5x5 card.
Light blue from the Echo Park 6x6 paper pad - 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.
Brown snowflake - 4 1/2 x 4 1/2.
When I cut down the light blue paper, it left a thin piece. I drew the design that you see, free hand and added to the top for the sky.
I did the same with a small piece of white. Both are 4 1/2 inches wide.
On white cardstock, I stamped and colored 6 houses the fussy cut them. I added foam behind some of the houses for dimension and did the same for some of the tree clumps. I then added the white ribbon to the bottom of the card to replicate snow. After stamping my sentiment, I grabbed my Wink of Stella pen and colored the showing areas of white cardstock on the bottom, the center of some of the snowflakes and all over the blue sky. You can not see it well in these photos but it sure does make a difference on the card.
I photographed my card at this angle, so you could see the different layers I created with foam tape.
Thanks for taking a peek.
