Cheers to You

Morning!  I am excited to be creating with the February Creative Cafe KOTM called Follow Your Dreams.  These are just sneak projects just to show you what you are in for come February 15th.  I did use the add-on stamp set called  .  The team is beyond rested and excited to back to creating with new product and stamps.

Today, I am hoping you all will celebrate St. Patrick's day with this fun silly guy.  I may have changed him a bit but you will see that really soon when your kit arrives.

Let me show you how I created my background.
1.  I covered my selected paper with a thin layer of clear Gesso.

2.  Let it completely dry before doing this step.  I used the packaging from the rub-ons.  I squirt a couple pumps of green Color Shine.  Any kind will do.  Then a smaller amount of the gold.

3.  I turned this over on top of the paper and pressed lightly to get most of the color off onto the paper.

4.  This is what it will look like, or similar when you remove the plastic from the paper.  If you want, there is even more color on the plastic that can be touched to the paper again.  Now heat set this if you are impatient like me.

From here, I built the base of my card with two patterned papers.  I stamped the stamp images that I wanted use on my white paper.  Colored, then fussy cut.  You will see that I used my black pen to do some outlining that helps tie in the drawn speech bubble.

Here is a close up of the amazing new stamps.  The design and detail are perfection!  Oh, that reminds me.  The Shamrock is stamped solid.  I stamped it off onto a piece of scrap paper first and then when I stamped on the green, it was a lot lighter so you could see the patterned paper.
