Watercolor Resist Technique with Video Tutorial

Hello TRC Fans!  I am taking you back to an older, Creative Cafe KOTM.  I have a fun technique to share with you called the Watercolor Resist Technique.  I needed some note cards that were fairly flat and easy to mail so I decided this technique would give the WOW factor without adding bulk.  I hate having to pay more postage for a lumpy card!  LOL  Here is one of my cards....

These cards measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" or A2 sized card.  I cut the blush cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4" and the mixed media paper to 3 3/4 x 5".  Using the Winging It! stamp set, I stamped the butterfly with Versarmark ink and sprinkled on some white embossing powder.  After I heat set the butterfly, I used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker - Rose Quartz to add the color.  Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Friendship is the Best Accessory.  Here is a video showing you how I created these cards!

Here is the second card I created using other colors and the dragonflies in the Winging It! Stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!
