Woven Ribbon Thank You

Hello crafters! This is Rachel Kleinman again here to share a fun woven card! When I opened my April Creative Cafe Kit "Petticoat Fashion" it's almost like an explosion of ribbon popped out of my box! There is so much beautiful ribbon, I immediately knew I had to go big or go home when I used it.

I put together a photo tutorial for how I did the woven part of my Thank You card...

Step 1: I cut a 4" x 5.25" panel from the white cardstock provided in the kit. I used my t-ruler to measure and mark with pencil where I wanted my slits to be. I measured each slit approximately 1/2" apart, for a total of 7 cuts per row. I marked 3 rows for the top and 2 rows for the bottom.

Step 2: I used my craft knife to carefully cut through each of my marks. Then I erased all of my pencil marks for a clean white panel.

Step 3: Start weaving your ribbon! I alternated the pink and green and also alternated weather I started weaving from the front or back side of the panel.

Step 4: Wrap your ribbon behind your card and tape everything down to keep it in place. I also ended up cutting off my ribbon panels, keeping the row of 3 together and the row of 2 together. This allowed me to created a space in the center of my card for the sentiment.

I layered my ribbon panels on some soft pink patterned paper from the Echo Park Petticoats and Pinstripes paper pad. The window in between the ribbon is where I heat embossed my Thank You sentiment from the "Hello, World" stamp set. I also stamped and fussy cut the flower layers from "The Greatest Gift of Life" stamp set and added them to the card with foam adhesive.

A layered bow of skinny natural twine helps balance out all of bold neon ribbon.

Thank you so much for joining me again! I hope I've inspired you to look at your ribbon in a different way!
